LOMUN is a three day policy-debate simulation located on the University of Toronto campus at Trinity College with an estimated 250 delegates. In our 7 committees, delegates will debate and vote on solutions to the world’s most pressing problems.
With our world growing more isolated, and international cooperation fading, LOMUN believes it is vital to empower students with a global mindset. Our conference aims to educate delegates on the strengths and weaknesses of multilateralism, using the problems of today to train the leaders of tomorrow. At the same time, LOMUN aims to build confidence and public speaking skills. In order to change the world, one must not only have great ideas, but be able to articulate them. LOMUN, and MUN as a whole, seeks to teach youth how to do both.
While LOMUN is an educational opportunity, we must stress that this conference also aims to be fun. The University of Toronto Campus is renowned for its beautiful historic buildings. Our central location gives delegates a glimpse into the heart of Toronto.
We look forward to seeing you in February!
